Episode 2

Norway

This is the first of three episodes dedicate to the “Location Series”; three locations specific to my novel, set in the Viking age, and three locations where I have dedicated a significant part of my life to either living or researching, or both.

The first of the Location Series episodes focuses on Tromsø Norway, a city above the Arctic Circle where I lived in the 1990s. What was Tromsø like in the 90s? What is it like today? And what was it like 1000 years ago during the Viking age?

Other topics include the differences in living either above or below the Arctic Circle, as well as the etymology behind the Hálogaland region, where Tromsø is situated.

All of these answers and more. Don’t forget to rate, review, and help spread the word! You can reach me via e-mail at: vikingstoryfaq@outlook.com
